Homemade chocolate muesli and yoghurt

It’s important to use quality chocolate, like the kind with a cocoa content of 70%.

 (4 to 6 portions)

  • 180 g (500 ml) oats
  • 100 g almonds, roughly chopped
  • 100 g pistachio nuts
  • 30 ml brown sugar
  • 180 ml maple sugar
  • 100 g 70% dark chocolate, finely chopped
  • 500 ml Greek yoghurt
  • 1 large papaya, peeled and seeds removed
  • warm honey for serving

Heat oven to 180˚C. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, mix together oats, almonds, pistachio nuts, sugar, syrup and chocolate. Spread on a baking tray and grill for about 15 to 20 minutes, or until the muesli has a sticky appearance. Leave to cool. Divide yoghurt between bowls and serve with muesli and papaya. Top with warm honey.

HINT: Make the muesli as a present for a friend. Put it in pretty glass bottles.
