Tannie Berta’s wholemeal pap

serves 4 – 6

  • 250 ml water
  • 250 ml milk
  • 1 ml salt
  • 150 ml wholemeal flour

Bring water, milk and salt to the boil in a pot. Mix wholemeal flour with a little water to form a smooth paste. Add to the warm water and stir to prevent clumping. Lower the heat and cover. Let stand for about 15 minutes before serving with warm milk, sugar and butter.
