Make sure the weight of the oranges is exactly equal to that of the sugar.
(About 10 - 12 wedges)
- 380 g (475 ml) sugar
- 100 ml water
- 380 g orange quarters (about 4 oranges)
Put sugar and water in a pot. Heat over low temperature until sugar is melted. Add orange quarters and simmer, turning the oranges over now and then. Simmer for about 35 minutes until syrup is thick and orange in colour. Remove oranges and let cool. Serve with cheese of your choice and biscotti (buy it at the supermarket).
To drink: A cold glass of Grand Marnier
