- 5 pork sausages
- 4 spring onions, finely chopped
- 2 water chestnuts, finely chopped
- 12 won ton sheets
Push the sausage meat from the casings and combine it with spring onions and water chestnuts. The filling needs no salt or pepper as the sausages are pre-seasoned. Take a won ton sheet and brush it with water. Spoon a teaspoonful of the filling onto its centre and press the edges together. Bring about 3 cm of water to the boil in a deep pan. Put won ton bundles in the boiling water and lower the temperature so the water is just simmering. Cook for about 10 minutes and turn the bundles over. Simmer for another 10 minutes until won ton sheets are cooked through and soft. Serve with sweet chilli sauce (buy it in the supermarket).
An off-dry white wine – any gewürztraminer or riesling will do the trick.
