Chicken burgers

serves 4 – 30 minutes

  • 30 ml butter
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
  • 500 g chicken mince
  • 1 slice of bread, grated
  • 30 ml finely chopped parsley
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 80 g fine breadcrumbs
  • sunflower oil to fry the burgers in
  • 4 bread rolls
  • lettuce of your choice
  • 2 tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 60 ml mayonnaise

Melt butter in a pan. Sauté onion and garlic until soft and translucent. Put chicken mince in a mixing bowl. Add fried onion and garlic. Add grated bread and parsley. Season with salt and black pepper. Make four large patties and roll them in the breadcrumbs. Heat oil in a pan and cook the patties on both sides until browned. Cut open the bread rolls and put a piece of lettuce on every bottom half. Put a patty on top of each and garnish with tomato, onion slices and mayonnaise.

If you don’t like garlic, simply leave it out.
