- 1 slice of white bread
- 30 ml butter
- 1 medium-sized egg
- salt to taste
Cut out the form of your choice in the centre of the slice of bread. Keep the little bit of bread.
Melt butter over low heat in a pan. Put the bread slice and the little bit in the pan and fry until crisp on one side. Turn over with an egg lifter.
Carefully break the egg into the hole in the slice. Cover the pan and fry the egg until cooked through. Carefully lift the slice out of the pan and season with salt. Serve with the little bit of bread.
